this year therewould be no more daimokukai.instead we shall chant tgt with the students before each coaching session!

I'm very sorry that due to all of our busy schedules we did not update anything in our blog for such a long period. Please understand. Thank you very much.

All of our official coaching class has ended two weeks ago. We are currently still setting up coaching classes for students who still needs help. Please do let us know if you need any help. Thanks.

For our 2009 'O/N' levels batch students. We are still preparing on how we are going to reach out and how we are going to conduct our classes. There will be changes to what we are doing this year. Information will then be passed down through our current coaches and FDICs.

All 2008 'O/N' levels students are welcomed to join us for the Post Exam Celebration on 22nd Nov. Do bring yourself and have fun on that day.

Thank you very much all your support to FDC. We will continue to strive for the best for our students.

Kick-Off Meeting

FD-Coaching will be having our 'Beta Version' until june, then we will have kick-off meeting at early june. The kick-off meeting is very important, please attend. Lets try to face more problems during our 'Beta Version', and solve the problem before our actual thing starts.

To All Students

Please start studying and asking your coachers for all the help you need for your Mid-Year. Even through Mid-Year doesn't affect your 'O' levels, but the marks for Mid-Year will determine how much you can get during your 'O' levels. Therefore, please really continue to JiaYou! The coachers are there to help you, so please make full use of them! JiaYou!

We are setting up a FD Coaching Diamokukai fortnightly for ALL Coachers. This diamokukai issn't used to add onto everyone's commitment, but its really for everyone to come down and chant for the growth, studies and happiness of all Coachers and Students. Lets share each of our experiences and feedbacks on our coaching class, and lets have the seeking spirit to learn from each other.

Our diamokukai will starts on 14th of April 7pm at SYC.

10 Points that a coaching must take note of

1st: Information - Please give them all the Coacher's/Student's/GroupIC's information they need

2nd: Schedule - Please ask them to plan the schedule of the coaching class with the coachers and the students, them ask them to feedback the schedule to you, and please send the dates & times of the coaching class back to me.

3rd: Subject/Topic - Please tell the coachers, when they are calling the students, ask the students which subject/topic they are weak at. Then ask them to bring the books/notes of the subject/topic during the coaching class.

4th: 3 Golden Rule of Gakkai - I guess most of us should know already, but GheeHan wants to emphais this thing very clearly, 1st No Borrowing of Money, 2nd No Business with Members, 3rd No Irresponsible Relationship. GheeHan will personally NOT let anyone who break the rules off, especially the YMDs.

5th: Commitment - Please be committed to this. Anyway, its at most 1 week once, plus the schedules are planned out by yourself. Please don't say that you are too busy or something. The future of the students are at your hands now. Don't worry about your big exams, we are now planning something for the Poly exams on Aug/SEP and JC's Promo on OCT.

6th: Maturity - SD students is obiviously more matured than FD students. Therefore, we are expecting much more from SD students. Please don't be "lame" enough to agure with them. The purpose here is to learn and study, not fight. As long as you treat the students like your younger brother or younger sister, then you are on the right track. If not, then you are not really on the right track. Also let them understand what is SD all about.

7th: Own Studies - Please DO NOT FLUNK YOUR EXAMS BECAUSE OF THIS. This thing is a major concerned by all the heads. The coacher's study must not be affected, in fact, we should win your struggle to juggle more than 1 things at a time. If anyone's study is really being affected by this, ask him/her to tell me directly, don't keep until his/her exams ended.

8th: Quality - Please DO NOT teach whatever you doesn't know. Teach/Coach only when you clear of what the question is asking. Else, you can ask other coachers for advice or post it on our blog to let others to answer the question. Please be patient as well.

9th: Welfare - Get to know more about the student, understand their problems, their school life, their family, their results, etc.

10th: Faith - Use faith to conduct the class, try to chant before we start any class. By doing so, coachers will have high life condition to be patient and coach the students, students will be in the state of learning to absorb more. Also encourage them to chant at home, chant for them as well. buddhism is about practising for oneself and for others. Use the strategy of lotcus sutra to do/solve anything. Try to encourage them by having a simple short guidance in every class, even if they doesn't feel anything, continue to do it, they will be encouraged by our sincerity one day.

All Coachers please reply your Group ICs when you are going to start the Coaching Class, also feedback to them anything that you might want to tell us.

Its been afew days after our FD Musical...

First - I would like to congratz everyone fer winning in the FD Musical...
Second - Congratz all the FD Grads fer scoring an "A" in FD...
And welcome u guys to come to SD...!!

Next...

We are now having 39 Students !!
and still 15 Coachers...

Dun wry about the coachers part...
FD Musical is a platform fer us to gather more on the students only...
We are expecting to get more forms coming in within these 2 weeks...
Especially during Chingay Full Dress Rehearsal this coming SAT...!!
We are hoping to gather all the forms by 17 Feb...
[ we will accept anybody after the deadline... ]

We are now compiling all the informations into excel...
Meanwhile... we will be writing a proposal fer GheeHan on this coming sun...
We hope to finish the whole proposal by this sun as well...

The Main Reason For Creating This "FD-Coaching" Is To Help All FD Students In Their Studies [ Dere Are Actually Many Small Coaching Class Conducted By Frds Who Are Willing To Help During The Past Few Years... But Some Students Doesnt Know Where & How To Get Help From Their Seniors... We Are Now Trying To Be The Bridge To Bring Coachers To The Students / Students To The Coachers... ] We Wanna Help Them To Win In Their Studies... There are afew things we discussed today

1st : we will spread this news by mouth first

3rd : a ratio of about 1 coacher : 5 students

4th : once every 2 weeks [ March to Late May]

5th : will haf a brief-ing fer the coachers
